  1. I think it's extremely important that we help shape this future also. While some of these areas certainly lay in our future, we need to exercise critical to represent our users needs.

In particular web 3.0 right now would be a step backwards, and current proposals for the format it would take in reality don't provide a net benefit to our users.

One of the key tenants of our practice is to be led by our users, delivering on their needs and solving their problems. We sit at the cross over point to choose and develop solutions to suit our users, and push for consideration of the end user in emerging technologies.

Excellent work to raise these issues rather than discuss the aesthetic, but rather than be led by technology, technology needs to follow our users need.

  2. Glad to see AI on the list. Within AI, there's a focus around Conversational UIs. I have also added my take on What is Conversation Design as well, if anyone interested 🙂

  3. Delicious content for my brain😋. I agree with Maureen's points 100% about the future of UX design because it lines up with what i know would happen in the future. Thank You for this insightful content>>>

  4. Every detail in this video , personality, depth of knowledge and simplicity of expression, lighting, audio and setting kept me engaged until the very end – and wanting more. I notice also your level of engagement with those who have commented and your responses to each individual. Perhaps the reassurance that we will not wander into the future and find ourselves lost (!) and outwitted by secret algorithms is needed.

  5. a lot of people repeat hype slogans from marketing teams about VR and AR and kinda forget to factor in the laziness of people. opening a laptop and getting your info/entertainment from 2d screen typing on keyboard and then getting up to the kitchen for a coffee, or packing your laptop and going to coffeeshop or wherever is much more convenient than ar glasses or vr goggles. I do not see everyday value in 3d meetings I mean honestly even turning on camera is far too much for a lot of people. I get the initial hype of oh my god its fun and new but other than entertainment/education I don't feel like humans in general like to strap anything limiting to their bodies for long periods of time. people follow comfort and easiness. its a cool tech but it is not comfortable nor easy.

  6. This is the kind of trends I like to see!! Where it is not about learning an aesthetic or UI trick, but instead of focusing on how our industry is moving and what choices we want to make or what we value as product designers or UX professionals

  7. I can not believe I found this perfect, interesting, nice looking video. So much precious information explained in sufficient detail. I really like how you pin pointed the connections to UX. Thank you! ❤️

  8. OK, everything on this topic is superb except the subtitle. Speaking of UX maturity while subtitle is this bad is kind of funny. e.g. "And lastly actively collaborate and co-create" in subtitle is "And lastly actively collaborate and COOK"… I mean really? I am not saying this is a mistake made by this charming lady, but if you talk about future UX you have to think about people with disabilities (and by that I mean on services that big companies provide now, like this subtitle is)… and some of them have actual problem with hearing and they need to read subtitles that say they should cook instead of co-create… -.- Lets first deal with problems we have now and with future later, when everything what we have now actually works 🙂

  9. Do you think you are a part of a bigger plan? Do you think human kind really need most of that stuff ? Does new reality bring new morality? Standing for the healthy future of this planet isn't a curtain for something else? I'm interested in UX design by the way. Interesting content though. All the best : )

  10. All the definition of the Meta worse here are wrong in the video, and Facebook is not building a meta verse they building a gloryfied add space

meta verse: based on a novel its a space that has been provided for the poor populoation of people by the goverment to escape the nightmares of the real world. After a while it become a meta world. That means: Meta verse is a FREE and open source platform with the goal to creat a meta representation of the real world. User should be able to sell rent digital assets inside this world or creat compleatly new ones or even expanding the meta verse with realms

  11. I don't agree. simply because in my experience it has become a trojan horse. The meaning of UX has been lost, refusing to decay because the banner is being taken up by popular opinion. This has been happening for some time. A person that was into UX a decade ago should realize this.
