I’ve covered a few of these tips in various videos across the channel, but I figured this would act as a nice starting point if you’re new to the Gutenberg experience.

Big Thanks from the Philippines.
Does everyone install the Gutenberg plugin? I noticed it's only a two-star review plugin, plus Gutenberg should be with wp installation. This is very confusing.
Helpful for a newbie, thank you
How can i view and edit a page without opening new tab, just stay at the back end with all other wordpress sidebars? Every time i click edit page it will open a dedicated tab for it.
I have version 5.6 wordpress…I read that gutenberg needs to be PHP to use in WP 5.6 or higher?? What does all this mean and how do I do it? TY
Hi, Thanks for the good tips! I would love to put them to the test … but I have a problem … I have created a few pages with Gutenberg already and I have also installed the standalone plugin which is version 9.0.0 atm.
But my Gutenberg editor looks more like a openoffice page than this sleek editor you're running how and why? is it because I have tu BUY Gutenberg to have its full potential or am I just doing something completely wrong?
I can't create blocks or paragraphs, I have no "big three" I my upper left corner … just a "Word-ish" kind thing with text and images I one go
Good stuff. Very practical and down to earth.
Do you have a video for building home page ? I need an info structure of home page (agency)
Tip 1 should be "move to another website." WordPress has lost their minds with this one, it's baffling and counter-intuitive and complicated
Thanks for the excellent tutorial!!!
very good
Really useful. Many thanks
Does Gutenberg works like a page builder and is like WP is forcing it on everyone to learn it.
I notice when I click image, I don’t have option to make image round or add border. Do these options vary by theme?
First of all, thanks for doing this video. It was helpful.
I am totally new to WordPress and have been struggling for days to figure out where to start in actually using it to build a first website for my new company. Videos that break it down to the basics that aren’t based on “look at me and how great I am at showing you how to click here and there to quickly build something you can’t duplicate” are hard to come by. Your video helped by giving the lay of the land so I know where to find things and better understand how to move forward on my own. I look forward to checking out your other videos,
Thanks for the excellent tutorial! If I activate the Gutenberg plugin and then design a page, what happens to the page content if I disable the plugin? Will it disappear? If not, will the page design and content still look the same in whatever theme I'm using? Thanks!
Great tips.
Selecting elements can also be done by using the TAB key. so for instance: if I click on a columns and I want to select the row, I can press TAB first and then shift tab to go back to the row. Its not great to use tab first but it must be done in order to activate this shift tab. just my 2 cents
This is the perfect intro to things you need to know. I learned all these through trial and error and wish I watched this 6 months ago 🙂
I'd like to learn more about plugins you're using and why. Eg. What's you're take on Jetpack? Did you have good experience with it?
Great tutorial as always Matt! Here are some other tips that I've curated via Twitter Moments and I hope this could be helpful as well. Thanks!

A good UI is selfexplaining… no one would ever need this kind of video 😀 I develop a plugin for gutenberg… that thing has so much deep problems… updated block structure destroys blocks so that you can't use them anymore… the gutenberg developer in github says… that's what we want… wrahhhhhh
That tip on 'parent block' selection, very helpful! It is one of the most frustrating aspects of using Gutenberg.
