  1. I agree viruses do not just go away like that, they are older than us, but I hope people CHANGE goverments instead. Truth is, technology shouldn't need pandemics to progress. I entirely agree with you

  2. I think that a 2021 framework that helps you to "not complicate" things for developers hence for users its svelte. I know that talking about react puts the meal on the table. But I think that svelte came to change the game rules.

  3. My Trends:- 2021 – 2023

    * Javascript-based hybrid Apps will dominate the software landscape because non-js hybrid frameworks can't compete on the web -sorry flutter, Enterprise Companies will choose Ionic Framework, React Native, e.t.c over Flutter to effectively target web and mobile. As native to web performance gap shrinks thanks to more powerful mobile devices.

    * GraphQL like technologies that combine the features of HTTP and Websocket will supersede the classic REST API.

    * Most desktop apps become web apps that can run outside the browser thanks to containerized workloads. (?)

  4. I've been developing and designing websites since the late 90s and there is one aspect I never understood. Many who are new to the field want to throw everything they learned into the website or project they are doing. So to "impress" a boss, or company they will add unnecessary things to a site.

Back when Flash was all the rage, designers and developers said that the entire site needed have have everything Flash (especially when it came to advertising. This of course made the user experience horrible, and searching impossible (even before SEO). In my mind K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) has just been part of my technique, because I'll put myself in the users experience mode so if I struggle others may as well.

Then the trend became responsive design (websites that scale to fit various screen sizes), but that became over thought due to the use of many of the same old school elements (like dropdowns, check boxes and buttons) that people would end up fussinf with on their smaller devices (still an issue especially those of us with larger hands). This is still very important as screens of various sizes are not going away anytime soon.

Flat UI also became a trend which I felt made things look like stickers rather than buttons (thank Windows 8 for this trend). Even though there isn't tactile sensation, the mind may assume that you can't do a thing when there isn't some type of depth to a button as an example.

Trends come and go (thank goodness Flash is a dead product), but I agree that staying as current as possible while KISS will bring greater rewards.

  5. I'm always wondering about industrial standards, best practices, optimization, "development process" and more things related to industrial standards. If you can create new series with just brief discussion, it would help us to pay attention in right direction.

I've followed your courses, it helps a lot to build my career.
    Thank You Max🔥

  6. Web Assembly. Why won't these YouTube developers research and teach about the single most important trend in web development?! Everyone wants to learn more and become proficient, but YouTubers are acting like Web Assembly doesn't even exist.

  7. do mobile technology (react native, fluter ) can we work on both desktop and mobile, like react native web, flutter mobile and desktop, ( same codebase for web and mobile ) , like write once and run on any devices?

  8. I just have a completely random question. Is web dev an "underkill" for someone who's smarter than average? For someone who's among of the top in terms of academics and possibly logic and intelligence? Should that person choose a different route and leave web dev for others? Or is web dev too a lot more complex than it seems and can smarter people get benefit for their "extra smartness"
