Hey doesn't website comes under digital product?

So if product designers are people that make apps and digital products, what do we call the people that make physical products? If I design a toaster am I a product designer? Or am I an industrial designer?

But UX designers/product designers also design and optimise websites. I always thought the term 'Web Designer' was a hang over from the earlier days of the web – back when a one man band kind of person would build and design the whole website (front end dev and graphic design/ux – whether they meant to or not).

Over the years the, as the industry matured and the process of creating digital products (which include websites) was carried our by increasingly specialist roles: graphic designers, devs, content, and over the last decade, UX/digital product design has come to take control over more of the end to end process of creating a digital product much like web designers once did but unlike web designers they usually don't do the dev and many don't do the graphic design either, their concern is all the other major strategic, holistic and functionality decisions that web designers might not have paid as much attention to back in the day.
