  1. I think it's a good starting point for someone new but that's about it, very basic very little depth in concepts. Also a lot of her content is out of date, like jquery, bootstrap, even her node.js, also for the html she teaches tables, but doesn't teach semantic structure which is best practice no one uses tables anymore. But still a decent course just needs to be updated, for 2021 and 2022 she literally just changed the year in the title and changed the thumbnail picture.

  2. Thanks very much for this review. I tried to watch the review on Udemy site and vid was frozen, which is why I came here. Problem though is I’m hesitating to click your link because it’s 2021 and your links are stating 2019. Could you please update your links to make sure they are clearly labelled for 2021 and specify that they are directing user to the latest product purchase page? I’ll click it if it’s updated while I’m still shopping. It’s just that I’ve experienced AI messing with my purchases and auto-changing prices etc depending on what I click, and right now I have their window open with a deal on for next 5 hrs and I’m afraid of some algorithm blocking it out for me if instead I click your links which have outdated labels…

  3. can you guide what should be learn after this bootcamp ,the javascript was good but i wanted more exploration for being a intermediate developer ,and same for nodejs , which coures should i do after this course ,i am on almost 60% path of the course

  4. I have downloaded this course from torrent but after completing the html portion when I uploaded html files in git and in there the auto generated http generated, In the http the photo and the contact and hobbies button aren't working i'm not understanding what is the issue? can anyone help me with it?

  5. We researched all 3: Angela, Andrei, Colt — and generally – the information is great. The people seem like honest people, and – all of the "material" in there is 'good.'

However, they don't teach people how to "think" or how to connect personally to research or content strategy – and those connections to metadata and indexing and HTML are a big deal. People 'memorize' the visual shape and syntax of things – instead of truly understanding how HTML works. The percentage of people who complete the course is very low, and the percentage of people who complete the course – and can actually create a website with proper HTML, CSS, and JavaScript – without any how-to videos is very low.

If these courses were broken into smaller parts – and reordered – and had just the right exercises and challenges, – and encouraged independent thinking then they would be a better 'system' overall. These concepts aren't something to binge. You need to rest with them for a while.

We take a look at Angela in our video about how to vet boot camps and teachers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugLRwpoxJ0Q

Has anyone out there taken this course alone – and then ended up with a great job? Can you write great HTML and CSS and responsive layouts – and do you feel in command of JavaScript? How many hours in total did that take you?

  6. I’m doing a newer version of this course right now. (Free from my work to develop ourself within other areas) I just started but feel she is really really good so far, specially for me being a newbie in the programming world. Both my brother and is gf is programmers and I am happy to be able to ask them for advice, as there is no kind of live chat/ask other students sections in her program and I just came across your profile searching her name. You make a lot of sense and I appreciate your review a lot having the experience you have. I’m gonna follow you for sure.

  7. I don't understand what do you have against jQuery which is a very simple and useful language ((who wouldn't prefer to just write $('#elem') instead of the var element = document.getElementById('elem') or the ugly `querySelector` instead? I say ugly because it's a horrible thing when naming something querySelector while it does not select any query – like in MySQL or alike – despite of the all modern … *semantic* trend, right ? I consider it bad naming, they should have call it something else. Therefore I prefer the beauty and simplicity of jQuery sometimes instead of vanilla JS)). Like it is also Underscore or others quite simple but powerful too. I also saw that you purchased a course about Svelte – which is much simpler than the big 3 (Vue, React and Angular) Btw, Angular seems to me somehow too bloated compared to Vue or React (which also have a nicer learning curve). I share same opinion with you that Bootstrap is not too nice to use it, it's kinda same old WordPress, still used by many but not by professionals (big guys use Laravel instead, and the likes) :))))

  8. but just small question bootstrap is little complicated but isn't this because it gives you more options and customizations than most of other frameworks , it is still not bad option if someone is using it right ?
