  1. Elon understands he can no longer simply allow Tesla sales to go by way of hearsay. One would argue that today, Tesla orders and sales should be thru the roof considering the state of gas prices these days. You would be an enormous fool not to take adavatage of the situation that by all measure of ones product is suppose to shine brightly in such times. Everyone and their mother should have the notion of going EV on the mind. And with Tesla being the leader in EVs , their order and sales should be dominant in the automotive industry. so advertising should be a no brainer when all factors are sitting in your favor. What better time to re-spark interest in the company.

  2. Sure, Musk, Tesla are unconventional, if not rogues, bad boys, but dumping PR department still seems counterproductive and unprofessional. Company should be managing image, have media contacts (with professional voice).
