  2. Oooh thank you for this information and your honest assessment on WordPress. Now, when I have problems with WordPress…it is hard for me to contact tech support and when I finally get someone they are not 100% helpful. I told them that WordPress sucks and it's not user friendly. Thank you for nullifying WordPress as not the best anymore.
Actually, they have turned me off on doing anything on my blog (I was trying to get an SEO job).

  3. WordPress Core Roadmap : Option to add meta title/description (Q1 2035). Custom feilds (Q3 2060). Multi image field (Q2 2045). Basic Sitemap (Q 4 2055). You can do everything there but very minimal will be done for you (This is the main problem => Just the opposite of tools like Wix or WebFlow). Just thanks to tools like Elementor – WordPress is still at all competitive (For small/medium sites). **The whole idea that Elementor "bypasses" the horrible WordPress interface (Combine with tools like ACF, Yoast and some more plugins).

  4. I can build a website from code.
3 hours into trying WordPress, I can't even figure out how to put text on the page.
It has the most mysterious counter-intuitive interfaces I've ever seen.
Webflow is 1.1 million times better than WordPress in every way.
It's just such a shame it costs so much more.

  5. Thank you for the recommendations. Recently switched my hosting and it's a pain to switch the site info. So haven't done anything and my site is down not collecting any traffic/data or sales. With this info I can build back better: Thank you!

  6. Webflow is amazing but the monthly cost is to much when your just starting out. It cost the price I’m charging a client for design so I would have to triple my rate and have them set up on monthly charges to pay their price

  7. Dude, I get EXACTLY what you are saying about WordPress. The issue is I can not code but I can find plugins to do what I need. I build things like SaaS products by bringing together some different types of plugins to achieve what I need or close to as possible whilst giving up some functionality as I can't always achieve exactly what I need.

Site performance is just a joke and constantly battling to make it more efficient and quicker is a never ending drain, to the point where I have even given up on some pretty good ideas for SaaS as the site speed became so slow and I couldnt get it to increase performance.

I am currently trying to build a multi site which uses Woocommerce and a bunch of other plugins like membership plugins to crate a type of SaaS, but i havnt even finished the main site yet and site is is SOOO slow that I am debating just quitting it even though I know it is a good idea.

Any suggestions for something where I can do something similar to running a multisite, with woocommerce, memeberships and automation of emailing and forms with page design like elementor pro?

  8. Also been using wp for awhile now and I partly agree with you. But I do want better SEO. And would be passing my sites through some of this test. If WordPress is responsible for 40% of the internet. That’s saying a lot

  9. I can update my PHP version on all my sites no problem. Also, speed tests should be taken with a big pinch of salt. I've tested sites that pass core web vitals with flying colours and they are as slow as fuck, and other sites that are in the orange and are lightning quick. If people use admin as there login name with a shitty password, well then. Also Wix, no thank you.

  10. I think you are way off here. Look, there is a reason that WordPress is not only the biggest web dev platform on the market, but also the fastest growing for 11 years straight! I think I will need to do a reaction video to this.

  11. WordPress has many flaws, but. "After login your username is always admin"?
Where do you get this, what install process, what hosting/script does this please?

  12. What would you recommend one uses to build a curated content ( with paid /premium section) website. I will need to scrape and parse data like stock prices, news, etc, to my page. there will be many sources I need to pull from in fact. Thamk you, any help is appreciated.

  13. Totally agree with this, as I'm having the exact same issue today! I'm an editor and content creator and do not have time to deal with WP back end, having been on Wix for sometime, I want to change for the simple reason the sites are slow. Having spent the past 48 hours in WP hell, I'm ready to bail. Thanks so much for this video! Still relevant now as we come to the end of 2021!

  14. my simple answer to you is. WordPress is like a product and your mentioned platforms are services. e.g. Wix is like, you go to MacDonald and they ask you to fry the chips by yourself and then keep watching chips instead of eating. I want to own what I make and WordPress gives me freedom, ownership, and much security in case I am a developer. Finally, if I am not a non-techy guy, why I will be paying to these platforms by direct debit. I do not pay a single penny to WordPress and make fully functional E-commerce websites. you need to do X-ray of this video and you will see the reality another way around.

  15. Ok he's talking to non techies here. If you're a developer and / or programmer and / or front-end (with page builders) and good with it, you won't like the alternatives he's talking about cause they have LOTS of boundaries that WP doesn't have when you add plugins and / or your own code.

  16. I do not know much, but instead of wordpress I prefer to load the pages in html and css (when they are static websites), when we talk about blogs or stores I prefer to use php or react before using wordpress. In many cases WordPress is a headache for my clients than a solution.
