A high school student awakes one morning to discover that he now has a handsome face and perfect body…
The popular Korean webtoon is now an animated series produced by Studio Mir, the studio behind “DOTA: Dragon’s Blood” and “The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.”

Currently serialized on LINE Manga and Naver WEBTOON, “Lookism” follows the protagonist as he works hard to live life against the backdrop of various social issues. It began serialization in 2014 and has 8.7 billion views globally.
Just like the original webtoon, the story of the animated series “Lookism” also deals with the subtle lookism and materialism present in the lives of people living in modern society.
Unique character designers have breathed life into the main characters of the original manga, giving them vivid voices, dynamic direction and gorgeous effects. Through fascinating episodes with a slightly different feel compared to the original manga, this series will deliver excitement and new discoveries.
Enjoy the story of Park Hyeong-seok as he overcomes diverse encounters and conflicts and grows to fulfill his dreams.

  1. I CAN IMAGINE LIVING IN KOREA HAVING AN UGLY FACE AND BEING INSULTED BULLIED BY THEM. THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS IN KOREA GOOD LOOKS, BEING HANDSOME AND PRETTY. AND THEY HAVE A VERY BAD ATTITUDE.

  2. just a power trip, whats with anime and peopel getting special powers these days. just rehashed from older anime or from web novels. I miss people EARNING strength and EARNING power.

  3. I don't understand. How are people not ending up in jail beating up others like that on the regular? What kind of third world country is south korea/china/japan/the states for this to happen? The nations named are due to the amount of shows that have the premise of someone being bullied, being beaten half to death on a daily basis.

  4. I was awkward and unpopular in high school. Had no real friends. I would eat lunch alone every day. Literally worked out and even got plastic surgery and now I’m being treated well by people. Awful world we live in.

  5. I really loved this show and the issues it tackled, my only criticism is how the female characters didn't really seem to do much other than fawn over the guys, but hopefully if it gets a season 2 it'll be different. I loved the concert scene and the ending, the message at the end was so sweet
