Inspiration Computers has been named Which? Trusted Trader of the Year at the prestigious 2022 Which? Awards for its outstanding dedication to consumers and the local community.
Kirkheaton-based Inspiration Computers has been Which? Trusted Trader of the month three times but has now won the top award.
The business was commended for its outstanding customer service as well as its dedication to various charitable endeavours.
Inspiration Computers really stood out with the judges, with the company’s work in their immediate and wider community being a highlight.
As well as having a prominent role in their community, the husband and wife team of Alison and Lee Grant pride themselves in “offering great technical support, up to the minute knowledge and good customer service, but without being too geeky or full of jargon.”
The company has 175 reviews at five stars complete with positive testimonials and managing director of Trusted Traders, Raj Kakar-Clayton, said: “The Which? Trusted Trader Award takes into account customer service, reviews engagement and community impact, and we felt Inspiration Computers ticked all the boxes.
“Demonstrating it is working to make things better for consumers, Inspiration Computers is an exemplary ambassador for Which? going over and beyond for its customers, local and wider community.”
Three Huddersfield nurseries have been acquired by Cheshire-based Kids Planet, taking the company’s total number of settings to 113.
Little Acorns in Netherton, Lepton Day Care in Lepton and Stepping Stones in Linthwaite have all become part of the Kids Planet Group.

“All three nurseries and their caring staff are a testament to their communities, and I am really excited to watch them integrate and develop within the Kids Planet family.”
Award-winning law firm Chadwick Lawrence is relaunching its conveyancing division as part of its future growth strategy. The newly-titled Real Estate Team of 70 conveyancing specialists will be led by a Senior Management Team, following the promotion of seven employees.
Amanda Ambler becomes the conveyancing operational project manager and will work alongside conveyancing partner Sarah Haller to lead the team’s strategic growth.
Team leaders Bhavna Patel, Michelle Myers and Natalie Glover are now conveyancing managers. Bhavna will run Morley and Halifax, Michelle will head up the recently merged Pudsey and Guiseley offices now based in Guiseley, and Natalie will run Wakefield and Horbury.
Conveyancer Lashana Henderson, solicitor Ruth Nippers and Vicky Sneddon are now team leaders, Lashana at Huddersfield, Ruth in Leeds and Vicky in Bradford.
Sarah said: “Our goal is to hit the reset button post pandemic. Drawing a line under the past couple of years and focusing everyone on the future. We have spent a lot of time and effort examining our processes and systems to streamline the way we work, our services, pricing and who we work with, as well as rebranding.
“Our relaunch of all things conveyancing at Chadwick Lawrence is about having a Real Estate Team focused on business as usual, but better. So that we can really set the standard and lead the way in conveyancing services.”
The Senior Management Team now comprise a Conveyancing Board, meeting monthly with the firm’s main board members to speed up high-level decision-making.
Sarah, who has been with the firm for 24 years, added: “It’s injected impetus and the mood in the team is buoyant. Conveyancing moves quickly, which means we must be agile, proactive and prepared for any future challenges.”
The full team celebrated the launch at an away day and afternoon tea at Healds Hall, Liversedge, with special guest Mark Fitzmaurice from Dale Carnegie.
Sarah added: “We launched our plan, charter and people strategies. And brought everyone together to do it so that colleagues, some who have never met before due to the pandemic, could get to know each other. It was a positive start to our next chapter.”
The winners of the inaugural Mid Yorkshire Chamber Business Awards have been announced. The awards celebrate innovation, resilience and true Yorkshire grit within its membership.
The judges selected the winners based on their resilience, dedication and creativity, demonstrated by nominees despite the challenging year experienced by many due to the Covid-19 pandemic and challenges associated with the Brexit transition.

The winners were celebrated at an exclusive event, held at The Quarry in Wakefield, which the chamber hopes will be the first of many.
