Back when websites had charm and character.
11:53 There was also a "jaz tour" included with the software for jaz drives and the installer for Iomega ditto also used a similar design.
Hearing about the limitations the CNet website had to work with is eye opening. Just 3 whole fonts to choose from!
13:00 Oh wow, that’s “Gadget: Invention, Travel, & Adventure” ThorHighHeels covered it a while ago in his video on Japanese Macintosh Games, it’s a very strange and unsettling adventure game from Japan.
As a webdev, our work would be soooo easy if we wouldn't have to build the same gimmicky boring copy of the copy's copy over and over again for the same salary as these guys in the past. No frameworks, the same stolen components, social media icons, no Js, nothing.
Table layouts would suck tho. lol
That book is really well laid out
The saddest thing this book highlights is how pure each website experience was. It was a time before ads and popups which plague almost everything we try to use nowadays.
would've been funny if you got right to the end of the video before realizing there's no c in graphis.
Old websites looked a lot more fun and personal
The web design cover remotely boosts-up vivid, & A1 childhood memories. 💜
hey mike, are you doing okay? no like genuinely i hope you’re okay
Man, this was fun, the book was imitating a site in a nice way, also i loved the 'World Wide Web Site' references, neat!
love shit like this. do more
If you haven't check out Red Star OS, It is North Korea's OS, It's pretty interesting
What other books out there are similar to this?
Hey Michael can you make a video on Windows95.exe?
i like your voice
Dear MJD, when you get 1 million subscribers, can you do a face reveal?.

I'm new here, but I feel like I could listen to Michael talk about anything for hours. 🤣🤣
Is so interesting, and strange to see sites on a book, in a similar fashion of the books about hardware of the time.
your videos get better and better omg
This can be a new playlist, story time with Michael MJD. I like the idea, especially with older hard to find books. I would totally watch these.
this song… I have been wondering what is was called… heard it in a vrc world
3:40 Ultimate proof the earth is not round, nor flat! We live in a cone-shaped earth. Checkmate, flat and round earthers!
