** WATCH THE NEW PART 1 — DON’T COMPLAIN 🙂

** Watch part 2 | Theme options & builders https://youtu.be/gmZBRS79Gzg

Divi 3.0 was recently released so I decided to do a quick overview, in hopes, that the theme has improved. Divi, while extremely popular with WordPress novice users, has carried a burden of bad code and vendor lock-in.

With an excellent marketing push (what they should really be known for) Divi 3 looked like they were about to turn over a new leaf. The jury might still be out on that, but I spent some time trying to quickly get a homepage up and running, and well, here’s the result…

This video is *not* an in-depth review. It’s my first impressions of using the product.

Pros:
+ Smooth UI elements
+ Limitless building opportunities

Cons:
+ UI that can get confusing and get in the way
+ Learning curve for first time users

  1. Thank you so much man for your videos, I'm one of your subscribers.
But regarding this video & before start your Divi review, you really should've learn or at least go through its tutorials first (& hopefully for anything you gonna review in the future).
You made me almost change my intention for buying their license, and thank God I didn't. I bought it –> I went through their tutorials, especially the 24 mins intro by "Nick Roach", & after using it, "based on actual experience", I guarantee you, the builder is just LITERALLY GREAT! & SO easy, I'm not an expert, and I never built a website before, but through Divi, I had a very professional & beautiful one, their builder saved me $2,000 which was the min fees I was offered by a Romanian guy to build my website.
Thank you again man for your videos, I really like it, & we all live & learn, hopefully this will be a good tip to help you improve your beautiful channel. Mohamad 🙂

  2. im really interested in buying this theme but you mentioned at 0:50 that it makes bad code and it has worse SEO rating, can you please tell us more? and do you know any well performing websites out there using divi? thanks!

  3. I don't use Divi, or page builders in general – so I have no knowledge of how it works. That being said, I found this video to be utterly useless. You're complaining about things that aren't falling into your lap, which is laughable.

  4. I have a small company with a web site but that I right redo with more technique new .I find very interesting your new DIVI 3.0 for the moment I look forthe new template

  5. You had no business making this video when you obviously have no basic understanding of how this software works. This was such a time waster. You need to be watching instructional videos, not trying to make them.

  6. I do understand some of your concerns; but some of the things that bother you are explained in various tutorials (even for the previous version) that still apply here — like the shrinking/expanding header. I ran into that myself with the previous version, and it is an adjustable setting. (I am not an expert yet, though, still new to Divi), so I can't tell you exactly where to go — esp in 3.0, as the menus have changed a bit. I do seem to remember it has to do with setting up the header. Good luck. I'll be searching it out again, myself.

  7. Y r really fool… u dont know the very basic of the divi and u r giving nagative vedio for it… its strange. Just go and learn first dear…. then make vedio…. or may be u r vedio is paid by some other vedio for giving nagative video on the BEST builder is thia world….

  8. I been using Divi for a while now, when I first started I spent an entire day just clicking and using all the different things(Accordion, Header, Img and so on). While I admit Divi 3.0 has some bugs, they will all be fixed, it is a pretty solid builder once you watch some tutorials on it or mess around with it. Do not have a goal, do not try and build one specific thing, get a page label it whatever and use each thing on it until you understand it

  9. You've missing one of the most powerful aspects of Divi; the portability functions. Start your project with a pre-built page layout and you will avoid the confusion of that empty page. Elegant themes has given away a ton of free layouts and many are built right into Divi out of the box. The way to use Divi is to load a page layout that is closest to what your final project will be and customize from there. This approach will save you hours.

  10. You can move the purple button to the top so you can click the add section plus icon. If you took the time to watch their tutorial you wouldn't had to suffer with this: https://www.elegantthemes.com/gallery/divi/documentation/visual-builder/
Adding background images is done for sections, not rows or modules.
I was shocked when you said that they have too many options in the configuration panel like parallax and padding… etc which is not good!! Please be realistic when you criticize a product.

  11. If you watched a few tutorials (ha ha) you wouldn't have struggled as much as you did. I had to chuckle watching you. I'm a total novice and I was able to figure out more than you. I agree if can be daunting when you first jump into it, which is why I did watch a few videos. Once you play with it, it becomes more clear.
