  3. These designs are visually appealing but substance-poor and generic. In the future UIs like Craigslist, Wikipedia, and Old Reddit will be preferred because they communicate value and authenticity.

  7. Is it possible to make such things … i have pets photos – i'd like to make from photos caricatures or other style..funny or other style… photos… or for example transfor to simpson style etc….

  10. I tried adding an image to Midjourney for a car model that my client wanted in his hero section. No matter how I prompted, or stylised even to 0, Midjourney couldn’t give me the exact model without modifying it.

    I’d say it will take some more refining before designers are redundant really

  17. i see a lot of professional web designers below outlining why AI is a long way away…BUT, I would say, at this moment, for a person with NO web building skills, this improves any design I can come up with 1000% percent.. this immediately raises the entry level bar…even if I am not using PROPER layering..the artwork alone puts me, as an entry level designer, in the game. so yeah, there's a long way to go…but this is still amazing. and even if you are skilled, the point here is to use these as starting points or inspiration.

  18. Tell the truth. Its not only web designers who will loose their job/income to chatgpt. Programmers, writers, designers and the list grows in time… When AI took over most of the higher level post, human will only good for physical works. Thats how it will enslave human race.

  19. Great stuff 🙌🏻. AI is getting really scary but at the same time it gives us hope about a lot of stuff such finding cures of stuff like cancer and brain damage. One suggestion why dont you add translated subtitles to your videos so even the peole who dont understand english can benefit from them and your channel would grow as well

  20. From what I've seen so far I'd describe AI as a more useful replacement for the process of illustration than the process of design. Design is a lot more than just pretty visuals. Especially when you get into interaction and product design.

  30. People saying that it is not useful were expecting AI to build everything for them. The most critical part of a web design is the inspiration itself. Getting a genuine inspiration of a unique design is more than enough to get started with. I definitely see AI replacing designers in the future.

  38. This does aesthetics extremely well. It can't do usability or UX for shit. I fear that people are going to assume that the layouts themselves are valid and not just the graphical layer. Shit, they already assume that about UI designers who can make a pretty looking page but don't know the first thing about UCD.

  47. Not mobile first is the first red flag. This would be great 15 years ago! Second red flag is heavy dependance on big images. Pretty to look at, but not good for fast loading over mobile networks. Third red flag is designing in Photoshop. Should be using Figma. Interesting anyway! Wondering if we can get more useful design pattern generation and ideas with prompts intended for mobile design use cases.
