  1. The examples you use are incredibly beautiful but 1. Wastes a lot of space, so bad UX. If the user has to scroll more than 3 or 4 folds youve lost them. 2. Some are very hard to read or have bad contradts. Bad forr accessibility. 3. Complex structure. there's no reading order or the reading order is hard to find. The UI is amazing. The UX could use some work.

  2. very useful, I love hearing other people's thoughts especially in design 🙂 Did you consider recording how you're transforming the desktop layout to a mobile one? Or from which you are starting at first?

  3. As a UX/UI designer I am interested in improving my web design skills and I wonder those that join your Bont Academy are they more creative /graphic web designers or Product Designers that also specialize in UX?

  4. Tbh I've long since moved away from designs like these. From my experience, they don't convert well, they set up conflict between web designers and web developers, and are contrary to a mobile-first, data-driven, content-focused philosophy to the web. They can also be very difficult for the client's staff to maintain, as information and assets are cycled periodically.

In the case of the P. Kay Metal website, the client's objective should drive the project. If they only want to look prestigious to potential investors, then their website is a raging success. If they want to convert visitors into leads and also link up to ad campaigns, was a custom React app with an extremely busy design, a mountain of GSAP animation, a preloader on every page, slow mobile load times, and huge payload size on all devices the best approach for that? Possibly not.

Again, I can only speak from my own experience, but if I was the developer behind that I would assume it is only a matter of time before an SEO or marketing agency demands a full site rebuild because they cannot work with what is currently in place. 'Fancy' websites can also be an accessibility nightmare, and accessibility is a legal requirement now across almost the entire developed world.
