  1. Most of this is nice to look at, but I have questions regarding its usability. Just feels like web developers found out about new toys like basic 3d and ui animation and can't have enough of it. Still seems like the web design world is in love with 3d but doesn't know what to do with it. Most of it in these examples is useless in a practical sense. However, I appreciate the video, some interesting graphic design and looks in the list, not so much web design imo.

  2. Most of the sites presented here remind me of the early 2000's multimedia CD presentations. All flashy (pun intended) and and overdesigned , making you feel really unpleasant and disoriented.

  3. I've gotta say, there are definitely some great design aspects there, but as a user of websites, I'm not on board with all that animation. It feels distracting and gimmicky. When I scroll, I want the page/content to scroll, not develop an animation. It makes it feel a more show-offy and less designed to help the user actually be productive on the internet. I think that's one of the bigger challenges of web design: helping the company and the user both feel like they're being catered to and getting what they want out of the user's time on the site. It's easy to be 100% user-focused and not really draw revenue for the company, a little bit harder to be purely efficient and effective to get clicks and revenue for the company, and then harder still to do both.

  4. These are nice and a lot of fun. As a UX person, I can't help see some of the things that make it a bad user experience based off of principles. I also can't help remember what my first mentor said, "When things are over designed, there is little to no UX. It's a choice they are making. Then there is going overboard with UX and making it feel unappealing. Your job is to find the happy medium." It definitely stuck with me. But working in business software, I get little opportunity to ever go over the top. So much I want to try, but can't.

  5. Awesome. Thanks for sharing. Man as a web developer these always amaze me. I've always only ever built line of business apps. The graphics are super simple compared this. Simple divs and spans and some minor css. FontAwesome and Bootstrap lol
