  1. I recommend Local by flywheel or desktopserver instead of WAMP or XAMP. They are much easier to set up in my opinion. For people who want a code editor that is specifically aimed at web designers (especially wordpress webdesigners) go take a look at Pinegrow. The most premium version has a built in visual wordpress code generator. Excellent for people who know their way around the fro t end code but have trouble with the backend side of things. (I use it myself). To draw a comparison, If you know webflow than Pinegrow is basically bringing the philosophy of webflow to WordPress. Definitelly worth the look!

  2. Nice Video!

I am currently working on my first website, it's for a family member's business. And the design part is killing me.

I took some courses on color/typography/layout and that's helped a bit.

Do you have any tips on getting better as a designer? I intend to focus more on full stack web dev but for some reason I feel I need to be able to do design as well (or at the very least have an eye for it), being a freelancer.

  3. Every time I see those Jobs Listings, looks like they copy paste from someone else,

same words, Gurus, tight deadlines, work under pressure, troubleshooting, etc….. they want one person to do everything they have no clue how to start. Thats why they say " Problem Solver", because they just don't have the answers and skills. I just found these examples that looks to me interesting. Im not into web / I do motion design in general. Hope you enjoy the link

  4. As an employee they want you to do everything nowadays… design, code, marketing, social media, content creation, statistics, strategy, community management, PC tech, and on and on and on. As a freelancer I do video and web development but advertise my services separately because if I say I can do both they want you to do both at the price of one. Not gonna happen. "I can always go to Fiverr"… "My neighbor's kid says he can do both cheaper"… well, then go right ahead and good luck! 🙂 A month later they call back but then it's me who turns them down. Those type of clients are just a giant headache waiting to happen.
