Web designers often feel like they have to have a strong portfolio in order to get web design clients. Don’t waste your time giving away free websites to build your portfolio. You don’t need a portfolio to get clients. All you need is a good offer. Here are three different ways to present your offer so people will feel confident working with you, even if they are your first client.

These three techniques help build trust and confidence and are especially helpful when you don’t have any testimonials, case studies, or a portfolio of client work to show.

  1. Love the strategies but how do you measure the revenue on the leads? Are you counting on the client's honesty or is there a tangible way to track the conversions? How do you negotiate these conversions. Is it lifetime or what? I imagine there's a contract you set? The devil is in the detail!

  2. Hi Lee

    I love your YT channel.

This video 3 Ways To Get Your First Web Design Client is brilliant.

Can you describe what cooperation could look like in the case of plan no. 2. ?

How to control your partner and income so as not to be cheated on commission?

Are there any tools for this??

Could you elaborate on this topic more, how do you deal with it?

    Warm regards

  3. Solution 2 is very good but I like the third one too … maybe mixing them? Will it be too complicate? Since my initial plan was "giving away" website anyway it make sense to charge something on the basis that later they will get result that will pay the program/system on auto pilot. "

  4. I don’t know about that. I reckon just make the websites for your clients and be free to help them where reasonable. You’ll buy from any website, as long as it looks trustworthy enough and works the first time reliably, and then continues to keep working but first has the product range wanting to buy.
