  1. Learn programming they said. You only need to learn html, css and javascript they said. Ok maybe some react, angular and vue they said learn some python they said. Now learn some web3, blockchain, metaverse and smart contracts they said.

  2. The moment @4:00 when you see a dude with an fpv google for drone flight(no power, data cable or antenna for the receiver attached), ripping with some nonchacku in the air, to display a metaverse experience. ROFL!
    Made my day

  3. I think most people misunderstand metaverse. It's not supposed to be a video game or matrix. It is supposed to be a corporate work optimisation tool. It allows big companies to track behavior of ther employees, see what people spend most of their time on and use AI to optimise things. Mark is not a matrix fanboy, he is a businessman. Metaverse is a way of squeezing more money out of employees which is something big companies are willing to pay for. We are basically just perfecting worker abuse.

  4. I'd like to raise the following issue with your web3 project idea: if we compensate anonymous reporters for their reach, what's to stop them from only reporting on what gets clicks? No one likes to hear about a genocides in African or eastern-European nations, nor do we like to hear about how our consumption habits affect impoverished nations/the environment, but it needs to be reported on. In respect to a lot of "web3" projects, its especially important to report on bad actors in that space, but many of the web3 consumers seem to not like to hear about it. A "decentralized" news media just kicks the can down the road.

  5. In my country publishers are rewarded by reach and they would make most bizarre or clickbait titles and photos just to get viewers attention, so I think it wouldn't be as good idea as you think.

  6. Honestly, I'm betting more on federated open source platforms like Mastodon then blockchain. People will always want some form of centralization, and a way to give up responsibility, they just need to be able to give up that responsibility to someone they trust.

  7. tech bros are fucking tiring man how the fuck do you say all this shit without realising that the libertarian idealist web 3 is going to usher in an age of fucking hot garbage content.

  8. "It would incentivise good journalism" 😀 nope it wouldn't. Do ratings for current mass media incentivise good journalism? The problem is not with propaganda and censorship. The issue is with the underlying motivation. Hype-seeking journalism is as bad as propaganda. If I am incentivised by number of likes on youtube, I will focus on materials that give me more likes, not on what's important.

  9. I realized that the secret to making a million is making better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Car or that vacation just yet and that mindset helps me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 70k in blue chip stocks and crypto ( with the help of my advisor of course ) and made about 380k , but guess what ? I put it back and traded with him again and now I'm rounding up close to a million. Delayed gratification always pays off. I will always suggest to newbie’s or old holders, Trade with an expert! It is truly easy, only requires your time and guide with a mentor like Edward Rowe. You can reach Edward via tele-gra:m : @EdwardRowe

  10. The decentralisd new idea is interesting, but your interpretation of what would likely happen with it is (imo) quite idealistic.

I think what would be MOST likely to happen is that you'd agglomerate polarising views on most topics. What gets clicked in high number tends to be:

    1 – Super cool stuff
2 – Super relevant/useful (but not too complex) stuff
3 – Stuff that confirms whatever you wanted to proove with your latest google search

I'm sure some good stuff would end up there, but I feel it would be likely to be swamped by more polarized/extremed/biased stuff, that gets lots of clicked. Kinda like reddit.
