  1. When it comes to simplicity there's a lot of clients that want all kinds of crazy designs and cram in everything they can think of… and they're stubborn, they just don't get it. It's annoying.

  2. Thanks. I have lost my pc recently so I am watching video on a smartphone. I have noticed many tutorials are not optimise for small aspects ratio. The focus or the zoom must be on the code or key message.

  3. 100% agree. I've been doing this for years every one of those points are spot on. These are the things that matter – not how "cool" or "fancy" a website is.

I would move speed towards top 5 at least though. Also, as others have mentioned, accessibility is growing in demand. Something for all devs to consider nowadays.

  4. Hey Brad! i brought your 2 courses(JS and HTML-CSS) on Udemy and went through them and liked them very much. now i'm looking to purchase your course of REACT but unsure if it contains REACT-NATIVE in it too?

  5. Do you know why web dev jobs give interviews as if they are google? I want to do front-end, almost done with my bachelors and can't pass an interview because they pertain to large algorithm problems. I literally just want to design and implement websites and applications. Not build data structures. It's been really depressing and it seems my major was a huge waste of money.

  6. Man, I'm just passing by to thank you A LOT for all your videos. I've just landed a front-end job after many months being unemployed. What you do is great and I hope you continue in the future, once I get some cash under my belt I'll be sure to help with what I can so you can keep delivering amazing content to people out there. Cheers!

  7. 8. Good tips there that people should take in.

    An important tip is viewability.
If you have a grey and a red box, you would look on the red box first because it is proven to catch our eyes first.
It's the same for the content. What content should appear first in front of the users eyes? What should be prioritized? Contrast, size and colors plays a big part there.

Another is Design Patterns. Follow simple patterns that most people recognize to help them navigate faster. An example is a navigation bar. You would want to place it at top and not the bottom. Most text editors like Word and Google docs place the text settings at specific areas on the top of the document because that is what the user is used to.

Indication is also important to reduce confusion. Examples would be an animated pointer which tells you to scroll down to see more of the page or some other indicators for navigation.
